Park your caravan by the lake and get set to explore the mountains or relax around a crackling bonfire on shore at night. Situated near the second-largest valley in Asia and the highest peak of Maharashtra, this campsite is not too far from numerous reverse waterfalls. During the monsoons, the campsite even has its very own waterfall.
Things To Do:
With a 3-acre campsite situated right beside the Bhandardara lake, it’s all about the great outdoors with this lakeside caravan park that’s located in Sandhan Valley – the second largest valley in Asia. This is the perfect place for a bit of water fun for the whole family with boat rides and plenty of games to play. Here you can have exciting mountain treks to Mt.Kalsubai, the highest peak of Maharashtra, or Maharashtra Alangad, Malangad, Kulangad, Ratangad, Katrabai, Ghanchakkar and to the Pabargad Mountain Forts. Or go on a treak to find the famed Randha Falls, Necklace Falls, Nanhe Falls, Parvara Falls, and numerous other reverse waterfalls. Besides the Wilson Dam close by, there’s even an ancient Amriteshwar Shiva temple you can visit, that’s said to be created by the Pandavas. Here you can enjoy a starlit night with a warm bonfire and a BBQ too..

This campsite has modem facilities to keep your caravan running like a charging point, a dumping station, and a water refilling point. If you’re worried about hygiene, there are bathroom towels with a washing facility and a toilet available. You won’t go hungry or thirsty here with plenty of meals and drinking water. With first aid facilities and an information center, you know your group will be safe.
Best Season: Round the year for Caravan. Camping is non-functional for Monsoon season(July-August).
